Seriously! I talked to DD2. Wait. Can I say 'talked' if it was an email via Facebook? Well, you know what I mean anyway.
I initiated it as I really wanted to see how her first few days of school had gone but I didn't know if I would get a reply or not since she had left us stern instructions NOT to contact her. So, I am taking it as a good sign that DD2 not only responded to me but, responded the same evening!
She is making new friends, and is in History, English, Wellness (is this Health or Phys Ed?), Foods/Cooking, Math, Drafting and Leadership (there's a class on leadership? Hmmm?).
It may have been short, sweet, in teenagese (come on, you know what I mean no punctuation or random punctuation, spelling was ridiculous! Most with teenagers will know what I mean.) and to the point but it was THERE!
Yay baby! Contact!
They miss you...
She misses you...
He misses you...
We all miss your smile... and your laughter... and your humor... and...
I. MISS. YOU!
I'm glad you have started communicating directly with each other, even if it is small messages. Hopefully small contact will grow into bigger and better things but for now it must feel great!
ReplyDeleteIt most certainly does!
